Potentially great news for customers. All providers must now by law highlight the fact that there may be inflationary rises in your contract.
It is estimated that over 70% of customers have previously been unaware of contract small print that allows mobile phone providers to include price increases inline with inflation. This is now changing and as of the 23rd January anyone taking out a new fixed term contract will be informed at the point of sale about the providers inflationary policy.
We are hoping this increases competition in the market place and some providers will offer completely ‘Fixed’ term contracts.
